Daniel's twenty fifth week!

Week 25 2013.04.08-12

On Monday we went to the opera (Filharmonia) in the city centre to see a show for kids. The show was very original and it had a little bit of everything, actors in a play, singers, musicians and even some multimedia show... the kids had a great time there and it was just a different day for everyone!

W poniedziałek  poszliśmy do Filharmonii, aby obejrzeć program dla dzieci. Program ten był bardzo oryginalny i składał się z wielu elementów, takich jak gra aktorska, wokal I wykorzystanie multimediów… dzieci doskonale się bawiły. Był to dzień inny niż pozostałe.

We did the last presentation of the countries, and the country this time was Russia! The kids learned many different things about Russia and also enjoyed our last presentation. We decided this would have been the last presentation because some kids were very upset by the fact they didn't get a flag so far. Honestly, is difficult for kids in general to remember all of the information just like that in a fast presentation, so it's understandable that some of them didn't win anything. Anyhow, we stopped with the presentations for their own sake.

Przedstawiliśmy ostatnią prezentację, dotyczącą różnych krajów. Tym razem omawianym krajem była Rosja. Dzieci dowiedziały się wiele różnych informacji na temat Rosji, a także cieszyły się uczestnictwem w prezentacji.

For the second time in our time being here, we went to Wawel castle in the city centre. This time it wasn't that cold so it was better... also, we went with the tram which made everything funnier and interesting for the kids.

Już drugi raz w trakcie naszego pobytu tutaj byliśmy na Wawelu. Tym razem nie było tak zimno. Poza tym jechaliśmy tramwajem, co było bardziej interesujące dla dzieci i sprawiło im dużą frajdę.

Inside of Wawel, we had a personalized tour in some of the rooms were a lot of interesting things are being displayed. Almost all of the kids were very interested but others were just trying to play hehe!

Na Wawelu oprowadzał nas przewodnik, który pokazywał wiele ciekawych rzeczy. Prawie wszystkie dzieci były bardzo zainteresowane ale niektóre z nich próbowały się bawić hehe!

After that, we went to the center to see the city. We danced and played with the kids and we were having tons of fun! At the end everyone was a bit hungry so we ate a pretzel, typical Polish food for this typo of occasions.

Potem poszliśmy zwiedzić Rynek. Tańczyliśmy z dziećmi I mieliśmy wiele frajdy! Pod koniec wszyscy odrobinę zgłodnieliśmy dlatego zjedliśmy po precelku, który jest typową, krakowska (polską) przekąską odpowiednią na tego typu okazję.

Daniel's sixth week!

The sixth week was VERY busy, but busy means that it is good! but I believe it has been one of the most busiest week since I got here. Szósty tydzień był bardzo pracowity ale to dobrze! Ale to był jeden z najbardziej pracowitych tygodni od kiedy jesteśmy w przedszkolu.

We started the week with a small theatre play with the kids, they had to create their own story and present it to the others playing with the puppets. 

Rozpoczęliśmy ten tydzień od małego przedstawienia z dziećmi. Ich zadaniem było stworzenie ich własnej opowieści i zaprezentowanie jej innym z wykorzystaniem pacynek.

Then, of course, me and Gokhan created a small improvised story that had a very basic and lousy conversation in Polish! Since my Polish is not so good, well the play wasn't good haha but we had fun and the kids too!

Wtedy oczywiście ja i Gokhan stworzyliśmy małą improwizację. Historyjkę, która była bardzo prostą i luźną rozmową po polsku! Ponieważ mój polski nie jest najlepszy więc sztuka nie była doskonała haha ale za to dobrze się bawiliśmy i dzieci także!

This week we went to visit Wawel Castle, which is an impressive castle in Krakow. 

W tym tygodniu wybraliśmy się zwiedzać Zamek Królewski na Wawelu w Krakowie.

The kids had a very interesting tour in the castle with a tour guide and had some special activity when the tour ended. 

Dzieci pojechały na bardzo ciekawą wycieczkę na Wawel., który zwiedzały  z przewodnikiem. Odbyły się bardzo ciekawe zajęcia.

This week there was a special party for the parents related to the Polish traditions in Christmas time. So a lot of parents came to the kindergarten and we danced with the kids and the parents and had a lot of fun! 

W tym tygodniu odbyła się zabawa z udziałem rodziców, związana z polskimi tradycjami. Do przedszkola przyszło wielu rodziców. Tańczyliśmy z dziećmi i rodzicami i świetnie się bawiliśmy!

In Venezuela there's a very funny thing we do in the parties and it's that people has to create a line and pass under the stick moving the body to the back and without touching the stick. This was very funny as well!

W Wenezueli mamy taką tradycję, że ludzie ustawiają się w linii i przechodzą pod patykiem odchylając do tyłu ciało bez dotykania patyka. Jest to bardzo zabawne.

On Polish tradition, they use hot wax and throw it into cold water and it's supposed to create a figure which will represent the future of the person who poured the wax into the water. The person has to interpret it, so is very abstract! 

W polskiej tradycji leje się gorący wosk przez klucz na zimną wodę. Ma to na celu stworzenie figury (która obrazuje przyszłość), przez osobę która przelewa wosk. Osoba ta musi zinterpretować co wyszło. To bardzo abstrakcyjne!

And for last but not least, we went to the theater on Friday morning to see a very very nice play about flowers. The kids loved it and although I didn't understand everything, I recognize the show was very good for them.

Ostatnio wybraliśmy się w piątek do teatru, zobaczyć bardzo ładne przedstawienie o kwiatkach. Dzieciom bardzo się podobało. Nie rozumiałem wszystkiego ale zauważyłem, że przedstawienie było dla dzieci bardzo interesujące.
