An another week in the kindergarten :)

This week has been pretty exciting for our kids and us, as we took part in many special activities.
Group number four and Henny went to the museum of engineering in Kazimierz. The tour guide showed us some old inventions and then led a workshop, where the children could try experiments on their own. They learned how glass breaks the light and how sun and rain come together to a rainbow. In the end, they created their own spinning top.
In order to get to the museum, we took the tram, which was really exciting for the children They truly enjoyed this little trip.

This last tuesday Santa Claus came to the kindergarten with a lot of presents to all of the children. They were so exited and they enjoyed so much. Not only the kids got a present but we also got one!!!

And this Wednesday, Núria and Ludo went with their groups to the beautiful Tauron Arena of Krakow to practice football, basketball and gymastics activities;)
The kids and especially Ludo enjoyed a lot the different activities, (Ludo is like a kid when he has a ball in his hands).

But not all news are good... Last week we received the information that Henny cannot continue her EVS due to a personal reasons. This is a very sad moment during our volunteering since she is a very good volunteer and person as well. We are going to miss you so much Henny and your kids too. Have a nice trip to home and never forget us because WE LOVE YOU.

Christmas is coming...

Last tuesday 29 of November we celebrated Andrzejki. All the kids were wearing a very beautiful and amazing costumes and we were very proud of them.

An animator came and we had a lot of fun dancing, singing, playing and enjoying the traditions of this special day for Poland. It was the first time we celebrated this and the experience was amazing!

As you all know, christmas is coming and in the kindergarten we are starting to decorate it all. The corridors look very nice but the classes are awesome... We are very exited for this Christmas!

Our 8th week in the kindergarten!

It's already our 8th week here... isn't it crazy?

Ludo and Henny went to a competition of patriotic polish songs with their groups, in honor of Poland's independence day on November 11th. The kids did a great job and we are really proud!!
Beside that, we enjoyed singing christmas carols with our children and started getting into christmas mood.

A special part of the day for them is always the dance or gymnastics class, where they can let out all of their energy, but we enjoy it just as much as they do.

Last week, each one of us held a presentation about his or her hometown, family, friends and hobbies in front of groups 2, 4 and 7. The children were great listeners and had many questions in the end. We were happy to answer all of them and to give them a little  inview of our life back in our homecountries.

All three of us made posters with numbers, colors or even the lyrics of a christmas carol in either french, spanish or german.

Dzień dobry

Witamy do Kraków!

We are the new volunteers in the przedskole 176 and we started this exciting experience in the beginning of October. Let's introduce ourselves a little: we are Núria, 19 years old and from Spain, Ludo, 26 years old and from France and Henny, 18 years old and from Germany.

October 2016; Ludo
Núria works with group 7, Ludo with group 2 and Henny with group 4.
Within the past one and a half months we got to know our kids and their very individual characters. We all agree that we instantly feel in love with them, as they are incredibly kind, caring and adorable.

On our second day, we already took the first little trip to Teatr Groteska. We watched a performed play together with the kids, which they really enjoyed. During the rest of our first week, we started getting used to the daily life in the kindergarten and adopted to our new home.

October 2016; Núria and Henny
A week in the kindergarten conists of several diverse activities: we draw with the children, do handcrafts, go for a walk through the autumn leaves, have dance-, english-, and gymnastic classes and teach them simple words, numbers and songs in our native languages.

Last week we arranged our first meeting to talk about the projects we are planning on realizing together in the Kindergarten. We had some nice ideas but we also have a big project in mind. Soon, we'll let you know what this project is about!

Do widzenia Polska !

Holidays is coming soon and the kids are enjoying a lot the end of the school year. We usually go to play outside or have a walk around. Last week was the last lesson in the swimming pool but also the last lesson of religion, English and dance.

We did also our final show in front of parents.
Kids received a lot of diplomas and gifts and they were very happy!

Unfortunately it’s also the end of our project in the kindergarten so it’s time for us to leave our second home. To say bye to everybody was really hard and especially to our lovely kids! We realized that we were lucky to work in this colorful place with very nice people (teachers, helpers, cookers, parents...). It was a great pleasure to give love and attention to the kids.

We thank everybody who made this project unforgettable and we wish them all the best. A big thank you to the best coodinator ever, Pani Marzena. Without her, it wouldn´t be the same!
Welcome to the next volunteers in October!!!

Super-piknik

We are running out of time! As a volunteers we are enjoying our last events with somehow of melancholia. Our project will be finished in 3 weeks. But this end is not only for us, the children are also finishing this course.

That’s why yesterday Przedszkole 176 celebrated the last big event in which all children, families, teachers, helpers, cooks, management team, volunteers and other organizers took part of them.

The event was a final party, a good farewell for everybody. It was big combination of color, happiness, youthfulness, harmony, etc. It started with the performances, dance and song, of all the groups in the kindergarten, from 1 to 7.

We, volunteers, received a tribute from the kindergarten when our groups were on the stage, but not only this, Maja and Clara sang with them and Alberto danced.

Sunny day, and good weather follow the event during all the evening, this allowed all the people present there enjoy all the activities we had prepared.

Here you can see all the activities that Przedszkole had ready for yesterday as: bouncy castle, trampoline, draw workshop, firemen workshop, photos, balloons and typical foods as kiełbasa with sweet cakes and drinks!

What else can we say about yesterday? You can see how the event was through the photos. We are almost at the end of our way here. But Przedszkole 176 will follow next year with more children and histories. We hope write our last post and farewell quite soon, that’s all for today!

Konkurs Sportowy

Sport is a good way for not only being health, but also a great opportunity for children to have fun end enjoy time together. Sport contest gives feeling of friendship and competition at the same time, we decided to bring this Joy to our groups too.

Last Friday Alberto, Clara and Maja provided contests for our four groups. First and very important task was to create a name for your team, that is how we got  Flashes,  Gepards, Sportmen and Falcons.

We had different tasks for teams, some of them were quite easy, some really difficult. But the most important thing is team-soul. All the time we were screaming names of our teams and clapping hands, trying to help our team-members and make a great happy atmosphere. And we did it!!

We did warm-up, going through tunnel, jumping, running in pairs and with rings, building bricks and fighting all together for victory…victory of friendship!

It was great day, everybody got handmade medals from volunteers. We put all our love in a process of creating medals. =)

During this contests children learnt, that even if you are doing some mistakes, there are people around you, your friend, who can help, those who can say good words to you.

Visiting Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury im. K.I. Gałczyńskiego and Uniwersytet Pedagogiczny

Groups 3, 4 and 6 went some weeks ago to an event of singing and dancing, all of our groups made their performances and showed to other different kindergartens. We travelled by tram and before return to kindergarten we ate the snack they gave us in Park A. i E. Jerzmanowskich. We can say it was quite a good day.

On the other hand, five kids of gruop 6 took part in contest about driving security or securuty on the road. They made a really good contest answering all the question without mistakes. So now you can imagine, the final result of the contest, yes they won!

Also our kindergarten was in the 70 anniversary of Uniwersytet Pedagogiczny. They organized some workshops. Between them we saw dances for the children, one magician and outdoor activities. The time we spent there was not too much but anyway all the children were happy to participate. It was nice to visit the university where some of the teachers studied some years ago.

We will write new post very soon!
Keep you informed.

Podaruj Cyrk!

Last months, concretely last two months and a half, volunteers of our kindergarten (Maja, Clara and Alberto) were involved in a circus project.

The project was created by Mikołaj Kubowicz with the help of Strim and support of hosting organizations. Nine volunteers started this project with the purpose of bring happiness and funny moments to at less to more than 12 kindergartens, schools and special centers.

Of course the project stopped in kindergarten 176. We have a lot of pictures of our performance here:

The performance itself mix theatre parts, improvisation and different juggling elements: as balls, rings, flower sticks and jumping rope.

All children which stayed in kindergarten until 15:00 enjoyed the performance. We did two, first one for the smallest children and second one for the oldest groups.

To finish the post we want to inform that the project is still working, and you will find all the information about it in the next webpage: http://www.strim.org.pl/artykul/1428. And in Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/podaruj.cyrk/?fref=ts

Circus go on, we hope children and all the people working in kindergarten enjoyed the performance as much as us. We feel it was amazing!
