French tradition: la galette des rois

Today we spoke about a french tradition, quite important in my country. We use to celebrate it in January and febrary, here you have a better explication:

French people have a huge collection of these "figurka" as we celebrate it every year. I brought some of them from France after Christmas to show to the children what it is, and we do with them, how we celebrate "la galette des rois".
That's a familial tradition, so I thought it could be funny for the children to share it also with there family. Fortunately they have not broken during the trip and I could offer one to each child, to bring at home.

After some explanations, we put them on a bowl, hidden, and we all choose one.

For those who are interested in the recipe of "cake of the king", I let the przepis :)
Bon appetit!

Karnawał - Karnaval - Carnaval

This Friday, we celebrated the carnaval, and so everyone arrived at the przedskzole with costume, dress, masks, mandles... And I can say that every costume was original and nice.
It was funny to see a lot of princesses, zorros, fairies, policeman, mummies... dancing and having fun all together.

Before the party, every group had their picture taken, with a professional photographer.

That was the "official" photo, and we decided to take our own group photo, a little bit less official.

Let's go downstairs, for the party. In the program: a lot of music, some dances and choreographies, and some games.

It was a funny moment, and we're waiting for the next one!

Bonne année!

Szczęśliwego nowego roku!
We wish you a happy new year, and a lot of things for 2014!
Here we are, in Krakow, after a few days in France and Turkey for Christmas time. Before to think about the new year and what we will do, let's put some photos about december in przedszkole.

With the children, we made some christmas decoration with salt dough modelling, to sell it few days before christmas.

During this month, we went to the city center, to visit the Cardinal. It was quite impressive for me because I didn't know where were we going before to enter this very big edifice, and when we met the cardinal. The children sang for him, we shared some time and  we offered us chocolate.

The same day as we went to visit the Cardinal, we went to the school near to the przedszkole.
Firemen were there to help the children to put their tinsel in the trees.

We sang some songs, and we played some games organized by the scholl's students.

Also during this month, with the groupa 4, we recorded some songs for realizing a CD.
They were so nice to agree for singing during hours and hours, and I guess the result is good.
We did it with a recorder machine and it was funny to see them speaking and listening their voices in the earings.

Last days of december.... The groupa 4 was preparing their spectacle for the parents, with beautiful costumes, songs and kind of teatr.
Everything was going pretty good for these last days of december :)

See you on 2014!
Na razie!
