Our 8th week in the kindergarten!

It's already our 8th week here... isn't it crazy?

Ludo and Henny went to a competition of patriotic polish songs with their groups, in honor of Poland's independence day on November 11th. The kids did a great job and we are really proud!!
Beside that, we enjoyed singing christmas carols with our children and started getting into christmas mood.

A special part of the day for them is always the dance or gymnastics class, where they can let out all of their energy, but we enjoy it just as much as they do.

Last week, each one of us held a presentation about his or her hometown, family, friends and hobbies in front of groups 2, 4 and 7. The children were great listeners and had many questions in the end. We were happy to answer all of them and to give them a little  inview of our life back in our homecountries.

All three of us made posters with numbers, colors or even the lyrics of a christmas carol in either french, spanish or german.

Dzień dobry

Witamy do Kraków!

We are the new volunteers in the przedskole 176 and we started this exciting experience in the beginning of October. Let's introduce ourselves a little: we are Núria, 19 years old and from Spain, Ludo, 26 years old and from France and Henny, 18 years old and from Germany.

October 2016; Ludo
Núria works with group 7, Ludo with group 2 and Henny with group 4.
Within the past one and a half months we got to know our kids and their very individual characters. We all agree that we instantly feel in love with them, as they are incredibly kind, caring and adorable.

On our second day, we already took the first little trip to Teatr Groteska. We watched a performed play together with the kids, which they really enjoyed. During the rest of our first week, we started getting used to the daily life in the kindergarten and adopted to our new home.

A week in the kindergarten conists of several diverse activities: we draw with the children, do handcrafts, go for a walk through the autumn leaves, have dance-, english-, and gymnastic classes and teach them simple words, numbers and songs in our native languages.

Last week we arranged our first meeting to talk about the projects we are planning on realizing together in the Kindergarten. We had some nice ideas but we also have a big project in mind. Soon, we'll let you know what this project is about!
