Dzień dobry, jestem Mery z Hiszpanii :)

18th of November

Since the first day that we arrived I feel like at home.

Children and Marzena prepared a special wellcome with Dances for us, and we Danced with them. It was very funny. The children Draw my siluete and later they Draw the details. I teached body parts in spanish and children repeat the words. They learn very Fast!

We played a lot in the garden, with our class and the littelest children.

I  did the game „Rayuela” to put in the floor and play and she teached the spanish colours with balloons and different activities. We are surprised because the children Lear very Fast. It is amazing see how they learn a foreign language. We would like to learn the polish as faster as them!

In the second week we felt like we was here for one month. We loved children and they love us. It is amazing how you can communicate with them altought you don’t speak the same language.

In this week Aynur teached the Azerbaijan colours and I continued with Spanish colors doing different activities. We are very happy to be with Marzena because she Has a lot of resources, games, activities, etc, and we never are bored with Her. And when she is not with us, we have work to do so we are very happy. We love doing different things for children.

This week we made the material to do a „Red Hunter” teathre. Together we did a good puppet making Job. We did too a presentation about ourselves, and It was a good opportunity to teach our language too. We talk about our family, food, flag, country, Animals, colours, names, Hobbes and places that we love.

I teached numbers, colors and body parts with different activities. And I have to say that I am surprising how they learn spanish. Some children give me draws with the name of the colors in spanish, and I felt very happy. I love that they give my draws.

This week we did our flags with them, using colour papers.

We finised this super week making Foxes, squirrels and deer with flour and salt.

We started the week in the 3 years class because C teacher was Sick, and we are surprising how much time children Sleep. It was a very relax Day, we say a film with them, Take care while they Steep, etc.

The next Day was funnier, we did the Red Hunter perform, me in spanish and Aynur in azerbaijan. It was amazing because other classes come to see the show, and the director too! I  really loved do this teathre because I Saw children happy. When they painted about the performance I  was surprised with the draws. All of them was very beutiful.

We did Little flags for the roof with our flag colours, to decorate the class and the Friday we did a _Rabbit with  origami, step by stem with them. They made a beutiful rabbits. And they paint the Foxem, squirrels an deer that they made the last week with autum colours.

The  Monday I was alone in class, I teached the spanish song „Familia dedo”, and It was very useful to teach the family names, numbers and colors with different activities relationated with the song. I did too a plastiline Snake with them step by step, and I really loved their creations. I love the children creativity, they always surprised me. I finisz the Day making material to do a Little teathre, about the fairy tale „El pez Arcoiris”.

This week we did to the teathre with tem, I was in 3 years class helping, and waw it is very different one level and the other. But anyway it was great.

Did week we prepared some sport activities to do with them downsteps, and It was very funny. It is true that I miss explain the games, but I don’t speak polish, so Marzena help me and explain the games. 

Welcome to Krakow, Aynur 😊

Week 1

From the first Day in Krakow I feel like home. It is my first time being somewhere so far away from my Homeland and before coming here I felt very nervous as I did not know what to expect. People are so nice and welcoming. First week Polish Language scared me but after getting used to it I AM already able to under stand the context of the conversations and Express myself with Simple sentences. First days in the kindergarten 176 were full of New exprience. Children are very active and always involved in the activities with the aim to improve their skills. The first thing that impressed me the most is Pani Marzena’s teaching methods. Her teaching methods and activities for children maliny based on the inquiry-based instructions so she always entourage students to ask questions and investigate. From an Elary age they start to aquire problem solving skills. In addition the most import ant thing that I learned throughout these four weeks  from Marzena was how to use Visualisation. She gives us helpful instructions to create activities for children using Visual elements. Firs week we were asked to teach children colours in Spanish and Azerbaijani Language. Creating our own materials to teach them New language was full of fun for me and Mary =) We are great team =) The fact that children easily learn New language impresses me so much. Children are not forced to memorize knowledge. The environment in the classroom Leads them to learn. Now we have Spanish and Azerbaijanian colours hanged on the Wall so children see them everyday and learn them without Any ef fort. And of cours games help to strengthen that knowledge.

Week 2

This week was full of activities made by me and Mary but first I want to mention children’s attitude toward us. No matter in which part of the World you are these Little Citizens of the World have enough love for everyone. They are always happy and ready to share their happiness with everyone who wants it. Kids in the group number  five are great. Whenever we enter the classroom or leave it they hug us and give lots of positive energy.

These week we were asked to creat puppets in order to show to children Cerwony Kapturek fairytale in Tyree different languages.  I did not know that I an very good at puppet making but I was really good =) Never created something like that and from now never will stop doing it =)

Then During the second week we made presentation about ourself. It gave children additional information about parts of the world. This is great opportunity for them to learn that world is bigger than they think. I remember  when I was at their age I thought world consists of Only my country =D They asked a lot of questions about my family and my childhood. Children are really keen on learning New facto about me and Mary. In addition to this activity we also made a flag of our countries. Nowi t is hanged on the wall. Sometimes children Draw my flag, write colours in my language and give it to me as a gift. Cutest thing ever =D

The last activity that we did this week was to make Animals shapes and colouring them. Later Mary and me did tree in order to place those Animals on that.

Week 3

During this week we had an opportunity to see children from another group. They were 3 years old and were looking like Little alive dolls =D  We did not have Chance to do some activities there but we helped them with daily routine and played some games.

This week we finished making puppets and had performance.  Children from different groups were invited to see Cerwony Kapturek in Spanish and Azerbaijani. I want to mention a few things about this teaching activity. During previous weeks children Got some Basic information about our countries. This activity gave chance to children to aquire how our language sounds based on the story that they know in Polish. This metod allowe children to have fun and Get to know our language in a less formal environment. It improved their listening skills and after the performance they came to me and started to say words in Azerbaijani such as Qirmizi Papaq which means Red Hood in Azerbaijani.

Also we continued to decorate our classrom and made another flags.

The last thing done by us Turing this week was Origami. We devided children into two groups and each of us had Her own group. It was great opportunity for us to improve our teaching skills. Children were listening to our instruction and repeated it.  This is one of the Best activities to do with children if you do not know their language. At the end we had strange Animals that look like dog and Rabbit at the same time =D

Week 4

This week we did some contess based activities for children. It was Amazing! Children enjoyed it so much. WE were happy because it was full of funny moments. Also this week we had Chance to go to the theatre with kids. It was also very interesting and funny experience. After some weeks I realized that it is now much easier for me to under stand Polish. Hope soon  I will comunicate it Polish, this is one of my aims during these 9 monthes
